How do you know what you know?

Kindergarten visited Sharon Pond on this warm day to do some scientific research.  We observed the plants and animals, tested the temperature of the water and the air, and measured the depth of the water.  We will have another research day in the future and compare our data to know even more about the unique ecosystem of Sharon Pond.

Research can happen in so many different forms.  Through observation and comparison, through data collection, or by reading in a primary source.  Kindergarten gets to experience many different kinds of research through our pond unit.  With their pond research report coming along during classroom work time, this outdoor research opportunity serves as an example of the different ways we know what we know.  How do you know what you know?
