Every year we find cilantro in our garden, and every summer it goes to seed. If it weren’t for the fabulous smell, we might not ever know that it was there. Fortunately for us, we have found it and we have a bumper crop this year. For those of you who have wondered at the state of the garden, even in its dried disheveled state we definitely have some treasures to harvest.
Yesterday with Grade 1 we collected seeds from our garden, and today with Grade 5 we focused on the coriander alone with hopes that keeping it isolated will help us be able to use it. Some seeds will be left to fall in to the bed and hopefully grow again as they have every year. Gardening is part what we plan, and part seeing what happens. Though they don’t always meet in the middle, it is always an interesting thing to watch.
